Surfers Paradise Gains State of the Art Gym and Spa

Situated at the Southern end of the world famous surfing beach, Fistral, The Bay Hotel is a year-round destination. With its prime location and magnificent Atlantic views, the hotel is already a popular choice with visitors to the region. Yet, its appeal is set to increase further with the addition of a fantastic Life Fitness equipped gymnasium and spa.

The purpose built, Fistral Spa, is currently under construction, with completion scheduled for the beginning of April. The four storey building will house one of the most advanced gym, pool and spa complexes in the South West. This will include ten pieces of Life Fitness Cardiovascular equipment – Treadmills, Upright and Recumbent Lifecycles and Cross-Trainers all with attachable entertainment screens, together with eight resistance machines from the Fit Series. There will also be an 11m swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, as well as nine treatment rooms and a relaxation area.

Carla Giles, Marketing Manager at the Bay Hotel, explains: “Our aim is to create a state-of-the-art facility with a modern and contemporary feel. The Life Fitness equipment reflects this perfectly.”

Vernon Lye, Sales Manager for Life Fitness, says: “The Fit Series is perfect for a hotel environment. Many of the machines are dual or multi-use, making them highly space efficient, while also enabling a full body work out to be performed.”

The Fistral Spa will be available to all residents and a small private membership.
