Quarry Swimming And Fitness Centre Upgrades Equipment After 15 Years Of Reliable Service And Durability From Life Fitness
The Quarry Swimming and Fitness Centre in Shrewsbury has recently updated its facilities to give the community a more modern exercise environment as part of a larger refurbishment programme. As part of the facility’s overhaul, the new fitness suite features the reliable Life Fitness Classic Series. To boost membership levels, the centre converted an aerobics studio into a gym and two separate improved spaces have been created; one area for cardiovascular training, and one for resistance.
“Our Life Fitness equipment was over 15 years old and still going strong,” explains Tom Pritchard, Fitness Manager at The Quarry Swimming and Fitness Centre. “But, we decided it was finally time to update and expand our fitness suites as part of our recent refurbishment programme. We know that Life Fitness equipment is reliable and world renowned for its excellent quality. That, coupled with the first class after sales service we received from Life Fitness over the past fifteen years ensured the machines were always in full working order. That has saved us money in the long term and is why for this refurbishment Life Fitness was our immediate choice”.

Memberships to the newly refurbished centre start at under £22 and other facilities include five swimming pools, a sauna, solarium and Jacuzzi. The Centre also drives a number of initiatives within the local community. The local Sixth Form College has free access to the fitness suite during off peak hours, and there are additional outreach programmes for disabled users and careworkers, local schools and corporate memberships.
