Marriott's Spa of the Year Award is Announced
The Club and Spa at County Hall has been named as Marriott’s Spa of the Year.
It is the first time that the award has been presented and the result has been based on an audit of all of the company’s clubs across the UK, together with other key performance indicators such as financial growth, staff turnover and member satisfaction.
The title continues the club’s current run of success. Having recently been awarded ‘5 bubbles’ by the Good Spa Guide, it becomes one of only five facilities in London to achieve this impressive rating. General Manager, Leon Trayling, has been nominated for a ‘Catey Award’ in the new ‘Spa Manager’ category, whilst the club is also waiting to hear whether it has reached the final of this year’s FLAME Awards for health clubs with 1,000 to 2,500 members in its first year of entering.
Facilities at the club include a 6,000sq ft fitness suite, aerobics studio, Pilates studio and 25m swimming pool. The Spa has seven treatment rooms with a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi in each of the male and female changing rooms. Yet it is the beauty of the building, the impressive central London location and the fantastic views that really set the Club and Spa at County Hall apart from its competitors. Located on the South Bank of the Thames, alongside the London Eye and facing the Houses of Parliament, the five star hotel provides the perfect setting for a visit, be it business or pleasure.
Life Fitness has enjoyed a long and successful association with Marriott. Leon Trayling, who has been with the company for over eight years, explains: “Our partnership with Life Fitness works very well. The equipment is of the highest quality and the service support has always been excellent.”
